As we move forwards into the new year, it seems apparent that our working schedules may still be disrupted as a result of the pandemic.

Whether you work from home or alternatively you are able to work out of the house, fatigue might still be a long-lingering symptom that is getting the better of you.

I know how debilitating fatigue can be and how it permeates into every aspect of our lives, challenging our mental health, productivity levels and relationships as a result.

So how can we work towards the goal of improved energy in 2021?

Well, I would say, it is different for everybody.

Fatigue is a symptom that can be caused by various different factors and it can be highly complex:

1.      Physical - e.g., a nutritional deficiency / food intolerance, poor diet, adrenal, thyroid or mitochondrial insufficiencies.

2.      Environmental - doing too much of one thing e.g. not getting out for fresh air, sitting in the same spot for too long, lack of physical activity

3.      Emotional - stressors and mental challenges can drain our energy reserves a significant amount.

Try and adopt a birds-eye view to you and the way you live your life. There might be some gaps that you aren’t addressing, such as your diet, or significant life stressors that you haven’t really dealt with yet.

As always, it is so crucial to work with a practitioner to really uncover what your unique triggers might be and making sufficient steps to rectify them.
